Changing perspective

So this is it. This is my life.
Something between happy and sad, alive and dead, awake and sleeping. We wake up every morning to the same routine starting to get more tired every morning. The dream we once had turned into loans for our first house and we start seeing strangers fulfilling our dreams. We don’t see the opportunity anymore and we don’t take the opportunity anymore, because we think that ordinary is good enough, but we should stop to pass out into a dream and start being the dream.

If you wake up tomorrow, open your eyes and recognize what you see. Do you see more possibilities? Does your new view give you more hope? Everything is in your power and your perspective. I’ve learned one lesson over the past years. You don’t need a bunch of people or a lot of moments to change your life forever; it only needs one person or one moment to change your perspective. You don’t know who you are until the moment you ask yourself: Who am I? Do I want to live like this? It is up to you. If you wake up tomorrow morning, read the following quote out loud to yourself and see what happens:

“Today’s the day my life begins. Today I become a citizen of the world. Today I become a grown up. Today I become accountable to someone other than myself and my parents. Accountable for more than my grades. Today, I become accountable to the world. To the future. To all the possibilities that life has to offer. Starting today, my job is to show up wide eyed and willing and ready. For what, I don’t know. For anything. For everything. To take on life. To take on love. To take on the responsibility and possibility. Today, my friends, our lives begin. And, I for one can’t wait.”
