It doesn’t need much to connect with other people. Sometimes it’s enough to just listen to them and tell them they’re great. That’s how we literally met Mike Ferguson. We heard the music of Mike the first time while scrolling through tumblr. His work is rare, beautiful and it’s definitely worth listening.
You can find all of his work on Tumblr.
“To tell you a little about myself, I am 19 and in college studying sound engineering. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs in a very large, very supportive and loving family, who have always encouraged me in my artistic endeavors. I have been involved in the arts for a very long time, and I continue to immerse myself more and more in it because it is both healing and stimulating for me. It makes me feel alive. My album “As I Go” is a compilation of music I have written over the last five years, between 2010 and 2015, and it is something that has centered me throughout a lot of my own struggles. Over the years, as I performed my songs for a lot of my friends, I began to notice that it was not only healing for myself but also for the people around me because I shared a lot of the same issues with many of them. Being able to connect with people through my music has brought me so much exhilaration and joy, and helping other people has quickly become one of my main goals as an artist. There is so much to be said about the way we can express ourselves with something so simple and so complex as art.”
