I was in the car yesterday with my 46 year old father and sat there as he poured his heart out about how he is so helplessly in love with his, soon-to-be ex-wife and that one of the only things getting him through is music. He then proceeded to play Sweet Child O’ Mine, which I’d heard many times before, and told me to listen to the lyrics as it is everything that he wants to tell her. I had to watch my dad break down in front of me as this song played. The rest of the car journey was us discussing how music does save lives and that it has saved his so many times.
So I would like to personally thank music for being there, not just for me, but for my dad because I don’t know what I would do without him and I pray you continue to make him happy.
Music saves lives, no matter what age.
