I don’t think some people realise that phases of our youth aren’t always extreme. Like I’ve never ever been emo, my phases were so subtle but so life changing to me. Like once I had a phase where I was really really into chickens, and that’s basically what I lived for, but it showed me I was allowed to be weird. I had a phase where I got really into music, and it probably saved my life. I had a phase where I read for six weeks non stop, and I learnt so much more. I had a phase where I thought I was pan, and it opened me up to my sexuality. Phases aren’t bad. They just teach us how to be prepared for change and difference, and judgment in the future
