When you are fed garbage, you will become just that…garbage. They say talk is cheap although speaking things into existence is borderline empowering if delusion doesn’t override. It is about being highly realistic before making a statement, daily life plan or goal for the short, mid or long-term. It is about respecting ourselves before others can even do so.
Are you convincing yourself or is somebody attempting to convince you of something? Some things are too good to be true, whereas those small chances we take often end up being the biggest steps of our entire life. Conversely, we make decisions which are clouded based on personal judgment, but please forgive yourself now before reading any further. It is never you versus the person, rather yourself versus the situation. Talk is cheap.
By all intents and purposes, the world is a great stage filled with many great actresses and actors who have frequently pulled our marionette strings, sometimes against our will or due to us being under an illusion. Three words: Just say NO!
There are those who would rather climb a tree and bold facely lie than to stand face to face to tell the wholehearted, unvarnished truth. You see, there’s a sucker born every minute and why would you settle, lower and belittle yourself to pander and acquiesce to those who do not have your best interests at heart? Talk is cheap.
For better or worse, actions speak louder than words. They always have and always will. It is not exclusively the words and actions of those around us, rather ourselves, too. We place our trust, belief and happiness in other people’s hands and we fragrantly account blame and point fingers when we should have made a greater decision to begin with. It is about taking accountability. However, once again…talk is cheap.
Nobody and I mean nobody is perfect. There is a shade of gray in us all as this world in which we reside is not defined in black and white, much more a shade of gray. An ugly truth is more endearing than a beautiful lie. The truth is hard to accept as are cold, irrefutable facts. It is human nature that many gravitate toward talking and hearing the sound of their own voice. Preaching to the proverbial choir is an option. However, what if it all fell on deaf ears or you finally woken up to realize that what you heard was a sycophantic, sugar coated, smarmy deception? Talk is cheap.
We can all talk a great game, but what if those plans and ideas fell through out of the reach of our own hands? What if you are hood-winked, bamboozled and taken advantage of by a person who tried to sell you the world? It has happened to us all and we look foolish in the process, whether we like it or not.
Silence is often golden and we can become champions in life as opposed to our mouths writing checks we may not be able to cash. Can you deliver when you step up to the plate? The power of potential has moved continents, countries and above all else we as human beings. We can be the bands that WE want to hear!
However, talk is cheap and it is enriching that you let your journey, progress, principles and values speak for themself on a platform of their very own as opposed to consistently telling the world what could potentially materialize.
Blessed are the meek. These are the people which achieve excellence without little adulation and admiration. It is not about who shouts the loudest or proudest, rather who delivers time and time again when not expected to. It is about those who answer the call. It is about those who stand up before the count. It is about those who do not ingratiate themselves upon us and do not fall into a comfort zone. Talk is cheap.
Do you want to be treated like a trash can and be fed with garbage until the end of time or do you want to be fuelled internally and externally by those who deliver a home run when called upon? There are two types of people in this world. Number one, game changers and number two – channel changers. Talk is cheap. Listening is as great of a skill to talking and the decisions we make will shape our destiny. If you talk the talk…walk the walk. But remember one thing, talk is cheap.
